How to Manage Stress

Hello! Today’s blog post will be shorter compared to my other ones since I wanted to talk about ways that one can use to help manage their stress. Final exams are coming up soon which leads to heavy loads of stress for students, but practicing these ideas can help with calming down. I hope this blog post helps some!
Take breaks from studying for long periods of time. This will help one’s brain to rest for some time and refresh the body before going back and learning more content. These breaks can also be useful since it can be used as motivation to get through a study session. Use breaks and rewards to help get yourself through a long day of studying!
Take care of your body: This includes taking care of hygiene, getting enough sleep, and eating and drinking enough daily. It can get hard to create time for these simple things during finals week, but it is important to take care of your body in order to perform well during the exams!
Eat healthy food: This may sound like a basic rule that many people say, but it is crucial for a person’s daily performance. Consuming nutritious food helps with maintaining energy and keeping the mind fresh throughout the studying process!
Manage time wisely and spread everything out: Creating a schedule for studying can help significantly since it prevents procrastinating and stress towards the last minute. Spreading all of the material out thoroughly and over a course of a few days can tremendously help with reducing stress!
Take deep breaths and relax: During times with extreme stress can lead to a person panicking which creates a worse situation. It is important that during these tough times, take deep breaths and completely clear the mind from everything that is going on. After this, take a few moments to relax before getting back to studying. This creates a cleared mind and will help with concentration.
Some of the ideas that I have listed above are commonly said: however, they are all crucial to a well performance during exams week and managing the stress that comes with it. Please make sure to practice these ideas during your studying sessions to reduce that negative and stressful environment that gets created during those times.
