One of the most common problems seen in young children and adults is the amount of times they spend on their devices. The problem has gotten severely worse with time, but a portion of the people don't understand the health problems that come with screen time.

Babies/Toddlers: Young children up until the age of three should not be around screens. This is due to the fact that it can lead up to problems with the child's memory, reading, and comprehension skills, sleep, attention span, etc. One of the biggest problems an infant can face is the delay of the child's language development. This is due to the parents not communicating with the child as much as they would normally when their child isn't on a device. This negatively impacts the child's learning and understanding of language. Children's brain development can also be affected by electronic devices. Any sort of electronic device is too sensitive for a young child to be occupied with.

Young Children and Teens: Young adults and children must be careful about their time on a screen. Too much time on electronics can affect their sleeping habits because many children use screens late at night. The parents need to take control of the situation by taking the electronic device away from the child. The excessive use of screens can also affect how a child or teen communicates and behaves. Children need the opportunity to socialize with others, especially those near their age. Children need a "back and forth" interaction with other children or people, but using electronics only offers a one-sided exchange. Parents need to make sure that they limit the screen time that their child has.

Adults: Some people get surprised after learning that their health is also affected by screen time. Some believe that since they are older, they are not sensitive to the effects that electronics have on them. However, screen time affects adults in multiple different ways. For example, many adults can experience neck or back problems, weakness of the eye, unhealthy sleep patterns, and addiction. One of the biggest problems that occurs to adults is weight gain due to the lack of physical activity. Electronic devices have played a role in why many people become obese. Screens tend to make others feel lazy and unmotivated to do anything. This can cause significant health issues since many more problems can occur from being overweight.

In conclusion, the amount of time people spend on electronic devices has created significant health issues for humans under any age. It is essential to have control over the amount of time that one spends on electronic devices.
